Carbone Riviera
Carbone Riviera’s interior, crafted by the internationally acclaimed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio in collaboration with MGM Resorts and Major Food Group, masterfully reimagines the historic Picasso space as a sunlit homage to mid-century Mediterranean glamour and Picasso’s playful Vallauris years in the French Riviera. The 240-seat dining room bursts with maximalist yet airy elegance: azure blue and terra-cotta tones flood the palette, evoking sun-drenched coastal villas, while bountiful displays of Amalfi lemons at the entrance set a vibrant, citrus-infused welcome. Blue and gold stone mosaics shimmer across pillars, and a whimsical ceiling swirls in tan and taupe patterns, adding a touch of artistic caprice inspired by Picasso’s ceramics and whimsical pottery. To soften the blank-slate architecture, the design introduces a series of rounded arches that echo the Bellagio’s grand windows, blending intimacy with splendor through nautical brass accents, textured fabrics, and warm, layered lighting that shifts from soft golden glows at dusk to sparkling vibrancy under the chandeliers. Original artworks by Picasso, Miró, and Renoir—curated from the space’s storied past—dot the walls, infusing the room with creative warmth and historical depth.
